From the pictures, it looks like it might even swallow up the Planned Parenthood building. If only Deano's was alive to see this.

Maybe this is a silly question, but how feasible would it be for the twilight to move back across madison to its old location?

Wow, those diaphanous trees in elevation drawings are incredible. Does anyone know what kind of trees those are? Any developer willing to put that kind of effort into avant-garde arboreal cover gets my support.

Design reviews aren't nearly as necessary as incoming tenant reviews. We already know the space is going to look like every other mixed use condo going up these days. The question that matters: Who exactly is going to occupy this space?

Nickels has asked the Council to end citizens' right to appeal a lot of development projects and end SEPA review of many of them as well.

@9 Thank you, as I was like "Why the hell is this meeting being held at the Yesler Community Center?" The sooner they tear that block down the better and the one across the street where Club Chocolate City used to be. Next on the list is getting that Curves off of Madison. It's a little creepy that it's located right across the street from Planned Parenthood as if they are spying on who comes and goes from the place so they can report back to their ultra right to life corporate parents.

I hear you, ALS. The only thing that would be worse is if they turned it into a yuppie bar.

The owner always knew the location would be temporary, but he had hoped that the old location would be completely razed and ready for him to move back in by the time the Oscar's place was bought.

He's tenacious, I'm sure he'll soldier on.

As much as I like density, I'm not a huge fan of mixed-use new construction. Well, maybe that's sorta broad, and maybe it could be done right - I just can't think of a new construction project that houses a place I actually like going on it's first floor. Those spaces all feel like T-Mobile stores to me.

The Twilight Exit WILL live on. Development projects of this size take time. So, I've got plenty of time to find a new spot. But where?
I've scouted some locations, but none have really impressed me. Any ideas? Where would you like to see The Twilight Exit move to.
