I hope this is worth it. I paid nearly $20.00 for those tickets on Saturday night. If not there will be HELL to pay, to someone. I don't know who or how or what but there will be!! :)

This guy is the best Jewish performer in America today. Even if you don't like his work, you'll be supporting a good cause, getting Jewish artists out and about in racist white Seattle.

Issur, stop harassing the Jews! I went to college with Mike Albo, but I was drunk the whole time, so I do not remember him. But I'm told he's amazing.

Mike: Did we make love?

And Issur, how do you know he's Jewish?

Albo writes for articles Heeb, and does the horascopes, and also performed at Joe's Pub where he spoke with honest admiration of his friends' modified conservative wedding—how the couple was forced to stare into each other's eyes as the rabbi ran through all 70 aspects of the soul.

Don't be such a wimp! The new snarky downtown voice of the inadvertently Jewish, the tangentially Jewish, the Jewish by side glance may not be for all Jews, but it's the voice of the future, and often The Stranger gets the tone just right.

@1 - Friday night, Re-Bar was about half full - an amazingly low turnout considering the amount of advance p.r. Albo received - both from the P-I and The Stranger. Am sure Mike Albo meant to be funnier than he was (to me), but unless you can comprehend words coming at you at approximately 500 per minute, you may be in for some rough sledding. And if you're remotely not on the same page generationally as the PodBudz and the Celphoniacs, you might be better off knocking back two strong Cosmos @ Purr for the same about of $$. The straight couple in front of me thought he was going to be something akin to David Sedaris - but that would be like comparing Ted Koppel to Ken Schramm. And I truly wanted to laugh a lot more - but it wasn't there - for me at least. Tant pis...
