Wow. I always assumed Schmader, Steinbacher, Annie Wagner, or even Charles Mudede would be next in line to replace Dan (once he got his CNN talking head/NYT columnist gig or whatever), if they wanted to.
I honestly don't mean this to sound bitchy, but as a regular reader of the print edition, when I think of the quantity and quality of the various writers' contributions, and their weight in shaping what I personally think of as "The Stranger"....Frizzelle's are way, way down the list. Of course, there may be other considerations and maybe Frizzelle does stuff for the paper that's not so apparent on the surface.

Annie Wagner? I guess. The biggest problem with that cunt is that she started working for the Stranger in the first place. I mean, c'mon. She is beyond out of place. The woman has absolutely no sense of humor, no controversy, no noticeable characteristic outside of plain...she belonged on the PI staff long before she scored a job at the Stranger.
