That's laughable.

Why is it called the Petraeus report when it's written only by the White House and the Red Bushie political appointees in the Pentagon?

seriously, why?

@4 - I don't mean to call you stupid, Will, but do you really think something called "The Red-Bushie-Political-Appointee Report" would be very effective?

@5 I think, by "seriously" he meant... well, nothing. Kind of like, "I literally died laughing"

But the good news is he thinks we could see some troop pull-back around July 08... you know, just 4 months before the big 08 elections.

Seriously.

Let's call a fake report what it is.

Seriously.

The troop pull back is only for the duration of the elections. They bring em down to 130,000 (pre-surge level) then bump them back up when there is an "emergency" like the fake ones in Vietnam.

Expect 250,000 in December 2008. When we'll have 5,000 US soldiers dead for a war of LIES.

Eli: Petraeus still not fixed - looks unprofessional. His name some sort of Greek Fury? Muse? Rock-carver? Avoid SGM-ism at all costs. All-in-all - just another Bush party-line boy. It's time for another "night of the generals" - but since they're all so lame and inspoken (opp. of outspoken) WTF is one to do?

oh, and @5, thanks for remembering to call them Red Bushies. Names are important.

FYI, Gen. Patraeus is not only a distinguished leader and military genius, but is a Princeton Ph.D. I would consider your own credentials before you judge this man. And another FYI, congress commissioned this report after, of course, unanimously voting for his appointment. Oh and just one more FYI, it was written by Gen Patraeus and rebuffed by the Democrats for containing too many statistics and being composed in very formulaic prose which was hard for them to comprehend - on that point I have no doubt.
