I went last night and they were painful to watch. Beautiful evening, however.

I do not go and watch a team that does not support my community. Besides, I have to go home and jack-off with Madonna's strap on stuck up my butt.

I'd go (it's always fun to go to a game no matter how bad your team sucks) but I don't think I can fly to Seattle today.

Oh, I always love a Mariner's game. I'll take them!

would love to, but have my Dad coming to Seattle.

You need to have a haiku contest to win them.

Here is my entry to get it kicked off:

Wish that I could go
But ailing father calling
Will sadly miss game

I would love them, if they are still up for grabs and free...or maybe reduced price? I got 2 other people stoked to go!

I'll trade them for some homemade cupcakes -- enough cupcakes for, say, 16 people. They'll need to be delivered to our office, though.

how about a box of costco muffins?

When did haiku become so trendy?

mmm, cupcakes. i'm stuck at work, so won't be able to whip up a batch of cupcakes, but i'd gladly give you a gift certificate to cupcake royale or the bakery of your choice ;-)

speaking of cupcakes, heavenly bakery ladies at the ballard sunday farmers market makes the best damned carrot cake cupcakes with sour cream frosting. they're cupcake crack.

Roses are Red
Violets are Blue
The Mariners suck
and so do you!

C'mon, there's more than just the ballgame--all of Seattle is on edge as the hydro race standings go down to the wire...who will finish on top? Comcast or Schuck's Auto Supply?

What's an "M"?

I can barely watch them on my TV. The collapse they've made is one of the great late season collapses of our time. It's one thing to get outplayed down the stretch, but another to simply capitulate and slide right out of it, like Cinderella turning into a pumpkin right there before your eyes.

@21, I love those hydro races!! Those are neat. And, they end in a timely fashion, unlike M's games, which seem to go on and on and on and on.

You got that right, Gomez. Kinda sick to watch. I haven't given up on the M's; they still have to find a way to make something useful out of their predicament - they still have to play the games.

Plus, way to kill your fan base off at the beginning of football season .

I'm saving my game-attendance gumption up for what's REALLY gonna happen this week: The arrival of the always derided Devil Rays. How sick could it get? I'll be there.

The tickets are gone -- to a grandmother from West Seattle that wanted to take her grandson. Aw. I didn't even extort cupcakes out of her.

Dan! Golden opp for grandma cupcakes, missed!! How could you? On 9/11 even.

SUCKER! If there was ever a person to extort cupcakes from it's a loving grandmother. fool!

Since Dan et. al. got obsessive about Tim Burgess, the M's have been 2-10.

Clearly, it's time to dump Dan as Stranger editor and replace him with 20 year old phenom Adam Jones.

@31 - or promote Adam to Events Coordinator ...
