Sex Survey

posted by on September 14 at 11:00 AM

I posted this yesterday, but I’m moving up—keep those suggested questions coming!

For our upcoming HUMP issue, which hits the streets October 4, we’re going to bring back our annual Stranger Sex Survey. We’re compiling questions right now—the stuff we wanna know about our readers’ dirty, dirty sex lives—and I wanted to invite Sloggers to suggest questions too.

What do you wanna know? Post any and all suggested sex questions in comments and look for the Stranger Sex Survey in next week’s issue of The Stranger.

b) within one year of marriage
c) within five years of marriage
d) around the birth of your first child
e) around the birth of your second or later child

@19, I like that question, but what constitutes a purchase? Does subscribing to a pay web site count? Maybe it should be "Have you ever spent money for porn you found online?" Two questions:
1. Have you engaged in sexual activity with a male and a female (not necessarily together)?
2. How old are you today?
Report questions by sexual orientation and gender identification.

This would be a great cohort question.

How about the question from the July 19th Savage Love article (that I can only assume never got enough responses to warrant an extra article):

Answer if you are in a monogamous sexual relationship:
Are you male or female?
your partner male or female?
Do you consider yourself more or less giving in bed?
A: more/less/about same

if more, are you frustrated by a lack of
reciprocation by your partner?

if less, are you okay with being selfish?

if same, you are lucky

My question would be, If you had to have sex with one of the leading candidates for president, who would it be? (I'll vomit if you say Fred Thompson.)

Qu'est-ce qui se passe? When it comes to having good old-fashioned unprotected sex and numbers of sexual partners the French-kissing French have nothing on Americans. This graphic shows sex survey results that might surprise you: Generally, the richer the country the more sexual partners people have. The best place to get lucky, according to the survey? Turkey, believe it or not. The Turks' have unprotected sex at greater rates than Aussies and Kiwis, but they're still having more fun than us "down under." Another surprise (to me anyway): Israeli kids lose their virginity at 16, on average. Where were the Israeli chicks when I was sixteen? Eh?

Unfortunately there's no word from the survey on gay bathroom sex among U.S. senators.

How many readers secretly fantasize about sex with fat people?
How many readers have HAD sex with fat people, enjoyed it and are too ashamed to admit it?
How many readers openly fantasize about sex with fat people? (in other words, they don't hide the fact that fat people turn them on)
How many readers have had sex with fat people and are NOT ashamed of it?
How many people have had sex with fat people and were disgusted by their partner's fat and didn't enjoy the sex because of that disgust?
On a separate note: How many readers are into feeding/feeders/feedies?

How many readers have experienced sexual violence against themselves?

How many readers have witnessed sexual violence against another person?

How many readers know of someone who has experienced sexual violence (can include self)? Break down by male/female, gay/straight/bi/transgender

How many readers have committed sexual violence against someone else?

For how many readers has some form of sexual violence shaped or profoundly altered their consenting sexual life?

@102: Define "fat".

As for my question, I'm curious about the age spreads of partners. So, over all of your sexual partners, what were the ages, when you first started together. I'm not sure how you'd ask it, and clearly, it would be a big a pain to answer for people with a lot of partners (or the respondant would have fun bragging).

But like me it would be something like
18 (F) to 19 (M)
20 (F) to 19 (M)
22 (F) to 23 (M)
32 (F) to 30 (M)

I'm curious how many times there's something like
18 (M) to 35 (F) or
18 (F) to 60 (M)

etc.

@105 people seem to know how to spot fat when they see it and everyone has a different definition of what fat is. it is all about context I guess. I am asking about the relationships of people who are interested in "fat" people, so I guess if someone considers someone else fat that would count. I don't know. Stating one weight is pointless. Is there some kind of set threshold of weight that you would not go over when deciding whether or not to sleep with someone? Do you ask everyone you sleep with to step on a scale? Would you fantasize or sleep with someone who is 250 pounds but not 450 pounds? What is the cutoff point? What if you met someone who was very large and you were somehow attracted to them? Or do you just think fat people are disgusting? What about skinny people? Is there a lower limit? What if someone was 70 pounds? or 100 pounds and 6 feet tall? Is your sexual desire size dependent?

Dan Savage is a man who supported a war in Iraq that has resulted in the maiming and deaths of tens of thousands of human beings, and supported it just to be edgy; just to get a rise out of people; just to be snarky. I don\'t understand why some people actually think Dan Savage is a person to listen to, admire and emulate. Maybe when they reach the age of eighteen and are facing the draft they will finally get it. Well known cocksuckers can support American wars at no risk to themselves. Other people are cannon fodder.

Question:

Broken down by gender: Do you consider yourself a sexoholic? (Someone who is preoccupied with sex)

Follow up question: If "Yes", would you consider joining a website that would aide in contacting other sexoholics with similar interests and concerns? (Im not sure whether or not this type of site exists or not but it might be fun!)

@107/Al: What is a brick shithouse???

You've probably never been called fat to your face, because people don't want to mess with you.
People are generally less intimidated by a woman who is 5'5" and fat than they are by a 6'6" male who is fat or bulky or whatever. Maybe you aren't even fat. I don't know.

Besides, I was just answering 105's question about defining what fat is. I don't actually have a problem with the word fat. I prefer it to obese or morbidly obese or overweight, etc. I have sort of reclaimed the word for myself.

I'm just interested in what the readers think about having sex and/or dating fat people. I was trying to cover the gamut of possibilities with my questions.
