Fuck that. Foreign government officials, no matter how odious their government, should get police protection. Free speech, bitches.
I agree, no matter how odious they are they should get the same protection that any other national leader gets. It is called respecting the position of the person, NOT the person themselves.
But it is not free speach Greg, it is common diplomatic respect. Hearing Romney, Hillary and all the rest being appalled this idiot came to the country only demonstrates how deprived our diplomatic corps has become. And I hope that Obama will make a statement that will show he does not approve of the positions of the Iranian leader but respects the position in Iran that he does represent.
In a nut shell, all the screaming about him visiting is just to gear us up to attack Iran. (October suprise 2008? We bomb Iran!)
Mitt says, "We don't want our propaganda getting muddled up by their propaganda."
Mitt Romney: churlish and not ashamed of it!
He also arrests people for DWB.
Israel is preparing to attack Iran, so this idiot is visiting America at the best possible moment. I love the "Iran is anti-gay so America must bomb" angle. We played that with Iraq "Bomb Iraq because we care so much about the Iraqi women and children."
Anything that distracts the goyim so Israeli bombers can make the world safer is a good thing. The Stranger is doing a great job beating the "Iran is anti-gay" drums. It should soften Seattle liberals up for the coming invasion of Iran.
Iran is the least qualified country in the world to complain about being denied diplomatic privileges.
Not worth pursuing though especially considering our status as the host nation for the UN.
