Where did you get the info that they were opposed? That sounds like news.

Those neanderthals are opposed to just about anything that sheds light on their operations.

Thank you, Nick Licata, for pushing this through in order to help improve police accountability in Seattle.

Maybe now people like me can get some justice when police abuse the authority entrusted to them by the people... and maybe prevent the few bad apples from doing such things again, which would go a long way to giving Seattle a better name and reducing the cost of legal actions against the city.

This legislation, while laudable, will not increase police accountability. It will only increase transparency, and even then not enough. It was a good first step. But real reform is still badly needed.

This is a baby step even for baby steps. Not nearly enough. Licata's been fighting too long for way too little.
