One More HUMP

posted by on September 21 at 15:32 PM

Someone’s scalping tickets to HUMP over at Craigslist. The scalpers are moving in because the four shows we originally announced sold out, and the two added shows we announced on Thursday sold out in 24 hours. We’ve added one more show—Saturday October 6 at 2 PM. Tickets—at regular, non-scalper prices—are on sale here.

You are making the life of a scalper hard. It's like making more Beanie Babies after you have retired it.

So, next year, how 'bout a nice 2-week run at NWFF or something?

Then those of us who make plans to be out of town before Hump is announced (BAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!) or who don't want to have to battle for tix can still enjoy the Humpy goodness. :D

Well, Violet, I don't think that's in the cards -- we have to be at every screening, and police every screening, to make sure no one makes a bootleg or gets out of control or... anything. The two-day HUMP runs just about kill me and Caroline, the Stranger's promotions manager. A two-week HUMP?

You're kidding me, right?

Scalpers also ran rampant at Mariners games when they were in the playoff hunt. Several friends and I tried to score seats for a game, only to find the section sold out a week in advance.

We all met in view reserved and went over to the section anyway. It was empty. Scalpers had snatched up all the tickets, hoping to sell them. They did not and we had those seats to ourselves.

If the cops want to waste money and time, why not do stings on scalpers? This state needs scalper laws.

LOL. . .don't wanna kill you.

Charge enough for tix during the two-week run to pay a trustworthy minion to monitor the thing?

I know, I know. . .people ONLY want to trust their personal reputations to a drunken stoner skanky sex-advice columnist. I understand.

;)

I'd be a little disappointed if HUMP got too big, honestly. It seems like it would make leak prevention that much tougher, and one of its appeals is the fact that you won't become too famous around town for your work.

@4

Hire Humpsters. They're like bouncers, only they rape your ass when you're out of line.

Thanks for the extra showing Dan and crew!! This will be my third time, (not a hump virgin, does that make me a slut?). I am excited to see the incredible Puget Sound talent, (creative and otherwise), that we saw quite a bit of in the cherry poppin' first Hump. I'll bring the Old School Pizza, and cupcakes!

Incredibly bad luck.. This is the third year in a row that tickets have sold out before I realized they were on sale!

2 Hump Tickets Friday Oct 05, 2007 6:00 PM $30/each ~ must pay via PayPal as I live in Bellingham. I bought tickets for both Friday and Saturday thinking they might be different shows. Okay... I'm blonde. I don't need to see the same humping twice so I'm going on Saturday.
I'll have the email posted on Seattle Craigslist so I can remove it once the tickets are sold.

I'm looking to trade HUMP! tix. I have two tickets for the Friday at 8pm showing. I'd like two tickets to the Friday at 6pm showing. Stupid scheduling conflict! Anyone willing to swap? I'm posting an ad on Craigslist under "Tickets." Thanks!

What about a show on Thursday night? I'm sure there are those who are out of town for 3-day weekend that will appreciate a thursday night screening.
