This week’s cover image, Red Bomb X, by William Hundley, comes to us from Ballard’s OKOK Gallery. If you’ve followed OKOK’s evolution from toy store (sort of) to full-on art gallery, you already know that it’s one of the most consistently interesting art spaces in town.

For more of Mr. Hundley’s photos, take a look here and here.

Wow, that plastic grocery bag from American Beauty has really let himself go. No wonder he hasn't been getting work.

I know I will sound like a philistine, but I'm dying to know if the red blob is a bean bag chair.

That's way cool. The Ann Arbor Observer's covers totally suck. We get quaint local artists painting quaint Ann Arbor scenes. It's quaint.

I love the information about the cover every week. Thanks, and keep it coming!

OKOK is a great gallery. As an individual new to the whole "scene", it is a fantastic low pressure locale with lots of cool things to look at (product wise) and even better art each month.

My beloved and I always have to work in that WE ARE GOING TO OKOK, OK? OK?!

@ 4 ... you'd have to see the pic in person (and they're quite large), but the floating forms are more ephemeral ... they don't register as something as solid as a bean bag.

God damn preening troll is using my name for his horrible posts about the Iraq War. This is the absolute shits-hmmmmm, well unless s/he's a performance artist-than it's pure brilliance! I know my art: I discovered Dale Chihuly before his $10 an hour artists made him a rich man with their sweatshop labor.
