On He Who Some Commenters Don’t Want Mentioned Again

posted by on September 12 at 9:30 AM

I hear you. And you. (And especially you, Mr. Poe.)

What’s happening is this: Slog readers found out about him four months ago. Slog has some serious reach, but it’s not infinite reach, and the rest of the world just found out about him in the last 24 hours, via Gawker, Defamer, TMZ, CNN, Howard Stern, possibly The View, etc., etc.

You know why.

So, if I may: Chill. You guys are just ahead of the him-hating curve.

So, when should we stop hating him because it's gone too mainstream? When Hot Topic has black t-shirts saying 'Kill Chr*s Cr*cker'? When he's got his own E! segments or reality show?

I don't hate Chris Crocker. I dislike him. I don't go to YouTube fishing for new Chris Crocker material. I only express my thoughts on Mr. Crocker when it's brought to me (Slog). I am chill. Chilly chill chill chill. Chill.

Anyway, message received.

Hey! Howard did a GREAT interview with HWSCDWMA.

For those who are wise enough to have Sirius, they replay The Show all day. Y'all on the Left Coast can catch the replay on Howard 100 around 12:15 Pacific.

Howard is the greatest inrterviewer ever. He actually made HWSCDWMA interesting.

Apparently, HWSCDWMA has a thing for Howard. Who knew?

I haven't heard the interview, but it seems to me that Howard Stern and HWSCDWMA are made for each other.

um, he was overdone 4 months ago and everybody already knew about him, so don't congratulate yourself on being ahead of the curve. look at ONTD. anyway i was sick of him when you started talking about him, and i'm more sick of him now. one minute part of me feels sorry for him for blowing his 15 minutes on his youthful stupidness, as i'm sure he can't make anything more of himself now.

@Mike in MO...I totally agree, Howard's the best.
And Joey Boots is hot for HWSCDWMA!

We're talking about Voldemort, right?

You mean, YOU heard about him 4 months ago.

Then you shoved him down the throats of your readership for some reason...

That must have been one hell of a blow job!

last, this is what I've been saying but not in such explicit terms. I don't get why eli is ramming this down our throat. where is eli getting the idea that there is some kind of slog demand for this?

also, I believe eli is doing it because he wants to be the one that "broke" the story on this kid. which is sad because he is merely a kid entertainer.

Oddly, while I despise him everywhere else--especially here--he's sort of perfect for Howard Stern.

Perez should just hire him. The terror will finally end.

I wouldn't want to live with or befriend the guy, but I like CC as an artist.

he's not original and sooooooo over rated. i like perez hilton and jessica fancy better. doing things for shock value because you're attention starved has been done a million times.

I can't decide which is saddest: Britney's performance, Britney's performance being news, an internet celeb crying about it, an internet celeb crying about it being news, a bunch of people complaing about it being news, or me sitting here trying to decide which is saddest.

Oh my god, are you trying to take credit for "discovering" this kid? Are you trying to ride his coattails to some kind of glory? That is so sad and pathetic. If you really had "discovered" this schmuck, you should be ashamed, not bragging about it. But apparently a million idiots knew about him before you did, anyway.

Idiots would be an absolute understatement. Have you seen the comments his fans produce? Grammar errors, incoherency, Crocker pimpery [sic], and substantial non-substance substance. They don't even read what he is saying. They probably have their comments prepped in a .txt on their desktop, you know, for whenever he tells them to go flood some site.

This is, unfortunately, our next generation. Pass the shotgun. Double barrel, please.
