The name of the organization is the "Ralph Nader Democratic Caucus Campaign Draft Committee." That would suggest that the people involve want Nader to run as a Democrat in the caucuses. That it's a "draft" committee suggests that this might not be sanctioned by Nader himself, or is a Nader-run committee made to look like a grassroots draft committee.

I actually kind of like the idea of Nader running as a Democrat. I wouldn't vote for him, but I wouldn't mind seeing a few Nader delegates at the national convention who were willing to push for more progressive positions and keep the eventual nominee honest.

Aw, even Nader is willing to bend his principles. I would rather see him as a Dem, even though he's got a snowball's chance.

Does anyone remember that SNL skit from 2000 where they had the three possible oval offices: Gore reading to the country from an economics text book, Bush with a BBQ on the desk and bombs in the background, and Nader surrounded by flying pigs? That's still his WH future.

Ha! If only GWB could run for one more term.

Nader needs to be beaten with a baseball bat.

I said it before: Self government does not work. We need to repatriate ourselves back to Britian and give the monarch absolute and total power. God Save the Queen!! Long live the Monarchy! AND just wait until Prince William is King..Now that is a King we all will want to be fucked by!!!!

The Democrats have proven themselves useless time and time again. Even if a Nader is vote is really just a "Fuck You" vote in the big picture, at least I will have voted.

Also, I read the ad as Democratic, not Democrat ... If Nader runs as a Democrat, I will eat my hat.

It's not just "Democratic" but "Democratic Caucus." There is no little-d Democratic caucus in Iowa. The New Hampshire group is the same but the word "Caucus" is replaced by "Primary." The time frame for both posts is during the run-up to the Iowa caucus and NH primary.

So, the logical conclusion is that this means what it says--this is an effort to support Nader in the Democratic primary process. On the other hand, it could be a fake posting or have no connection to Nader himself.

@8

The Democrats aren't nearly as useless as the Greens. Why haven't the greens stopped the Iraq war?

@12 - because they haven't run in the GOP primary.

Vote Dem, pay for Iraq Genocide forever:

1,250,00, the number of violent deaths Since Operation Iraqi Freedom started.

44%. The percentage of violent deaths not attributed to the US Military, Shiite Militias, or Sunni terror cells.

250,000, the number of mercenaries on the US public dole in Iraq.

Estimated cost of the war: 2 trillion.

It is strange to me how anyone can rationlise voting for a Democatic president.

Hmm, you kids are pretty much severely intellectually challenged if any of you thought that Craigslist stuff abt nader was anything but a prank or some nutter exsanguinating from his brain. Look at the title of the so-called draft group. And did anyone actually trying using any of those contact points?

And if anyone thinks Sanders has anything, I repeat, ANYTHING, worth reading abt regarding the upcoming election cycles, well, I have this bridge I am looking to unload.... So much more useful to just read politics1.com every morning.
