Anyway it's probably worth it.

Wow...$20 smackers...and the movies didn't cost The Stranger a dime to make...

I submitted a film and am getting a barrage of questions from my cast and crew. The top two are:

1. Will we find out beforehand if our film is screening? Most people want to go regardless, but a few only want to buy tickets if they will get to see our movie there.

2. If so, will there be any cast and crew tix available for people involved with the films?

I have been telling people to go ahead and buy to be on the safe-side since they will certainly sell out, but am a bit worried about being a jerk if people pay $20, show up and don't get to see the finished movie there.

Thanks!

got mine. but I can't believe it'll top last year's. one suggestion keep is a bit shorter-how much can one person take? Or have a break where people can go out and freshen up their buzz.

Will there be marathon screenings? How many entries were there??

Posted by Quinapalus | September 13, 2007 5:28 PM

Question: Are all screenings the same?

We're not doing a marathon this year -- sorry. So, yes, all the screenings will be the same.

Isn't there something just a little creepy or something involving arrested development in adults celebrating porn into their 40's and beyond? Even more so when they have kids?

@ 14: no.
I saw it the first year and was in its grip. couldn't get tickets last year because the stranger was lame and sold it out on line before the paper announced they were going on sale-rude.

@14:
Huh? No idea what you are talking about. If HUMP isn't your thing, that's cool, don't go.

#14, i guess fun is only for people under 40 eh? what exactly is supposed to happen after 40? beginning planning the funeral? this kind of crap pisses me off in this already rediculous youth-addicted culture.

Aw Dan,
All this talk about amateur porn and no one at the Stranger has mentioned the Monday night, September 17th, showing of "The Pornography of the Bicycle" at the Capitol Hill Arts Center? One would think a collection of films on the subject of Bike Porn touring up the coast by bicycle might attract some attention from the Stranger. Particularly when it killed it when is showed during the Portland Underground Film Festival... And you're not going to give it even a little props? For Shame...

We're stuck at the mercy of the crew who's riding the movies up to Seattle. They're showing the night before in Olympia, the the following night in Bellingham.

Add more shows next year. I bought my tickets today and the 8:00 o’clock shows are sold out.
