Probably not high at all. I think major unwanted withdrawal of cocaine did that trick. Anyway, he's my hero for the day.

actually, read the story. he was shit-scared of being off'ed by his bosses and having them think he was withholding the goods on them. wanted the Feds to let it be known that he hadn't hidden the shit for himself, but that it really was , and later found by a boyscout (go figure). better in jail than maybe dead.

That's what drywall and rat poison is for. Better alive and out of jail than dead, or in jail and about to be dead, or dead when you come out of jail. People don't forget.

Key note: Stay away from coke.

How does one even prove ownership if they do have your coke? It's not like it's formed into a bust of yourself. Do they just attribute said amount from the unclaimed section in the evidence room?

My question is: Why didn't the cops do their job and arrest the thief?

@7 Usually if it is being smuggled, it has not been stepped on yet. It probably had a stamp impressed on it. Just as good as having it in a bust of yourself. Not that I know.

@7:

This kind of situation is not unique: criminals call in to complain about stolen drugs or whatever all the time. When the cops took his call, they probably said something along the lines of "hey, we find bags of stashed coke all the time... could you describe the container it was in? Uh-huh, what color was the backpack? Okay..."

When the boyscout found the backpack, they already had a description of it. They might even have called the dude back to confirm it was his. If they had, he probably confirmed it for them! ;)
