The Stranger did an excellent job of banging the drums of war for the attack on Iraq, and I believe more stories about Gays being hung in Tehran and women being forced to wear head scarves could soften up the liberal opinion makers so an Iran invasion could go smoothly.

And for the argument that there is evil in the world that want to kill us I have to say this: My generation has LOST social security when we retire and have seen the US build the LARGEST and MOST POWERFUL military force the world has ever known. What is kind of funny to me is that Greenspan's philosophies make a lot of sense to me, in a bizarro-world way. Based on the presumption that American-style capitalism is a good thing, then his approach is sound and reasonable and very wise.

It's a bad presumption though- pure Capitalism is mad fucked-up and totally unsustainable, which is why I'm against conservatives on almost every issue.
