Their piroshkies and borscht are awesome but you *must* ask what their lunch special is, too. I've had Beef Stroganoff and Chicken Meatloaf and they were both excellent (and reasonably priced!).

I could eat at this place every day for the rest of my life and not get tired of it.

I love her. And I love their food. LOVE LOVE LOVE.

Sometimes I pretend she is my stern but loving mother. When you buy a latte (and are pleasant) you get a complimentary barely sweet biscuit that pairs perfectly with coffee.

That borscht saved me from certain death last winter. For sure.

As much as I dig piroshkies, I really miss the knishes in NY. Oh, what I wouldn't give for a good knish.

Perogies are 10 times more delicious, and I am just bitter everytime I see piroshkies in Seattle (and only Seattle FYI). Borscht, knishes and perogies would be beautiful until about an hour later when I'd blow up like Farley.

What? Borscht is good for you. Beets are great for your liver, and cabbage has loads of nutrients. It's the dollop of sour cream that will get you.

She made fun of me for being short.

I love that woman and her bakery, though I think I wouldn't like to work for her. Even introduced her to my mother once. She said we don't look alike.
