Too bad I've been reading the Slog long enough to be completely sick of him already.

I do think it's great for him, though. I don't begrudge him his success just because I'm bored of his squawking.

With a network to defend the copyright, YouTube will have to take down any videos of his show. So this should lead to fewer links to his clips appearing on the screens of unsuspecting web browsers.

I wish him much success.

Good. Now Chris: get the money, get out, get therapy, and most crucially for your future health, disappear (off the cultural radar).

This is going to be another one of those tragic train-wreck TV shows (see: Geico Cavemen) that you see bombing from a mile away.

Just because you can make a 2 minute video under a sheet in your room, does not mean you can carry a full length TV show.

(And I'd argue he can't even carry a Youtube clip, but whatevs.)

I think we're witnessing an unfortunate transition period in television - still largely a passive medium, trying to incorporate content from the user controlled web.

Audiences are probably an entire generation away from welcoming the television as a truly interactive medium. For MOST of us, Chris Crocker and his ilk are short distractions from the work or schoolday of an already captive audience, which explains their massive viewing numbers.

Put them on TV and expect people to be volunteer their free time on them? I don't think they'll last long, unless they live on stations that are otherwise starved for programming.

Has the whole brother-on-brother incest video he did been proved false?

In October 2002 in "The Stranger" Dan Savage wrote an article "Say Yes To War" supporting the war on Iraq and denouncing liberals. Now after several hundred thousand deaths, etc He says he no longer supports the war. SLOG will not allow me to post a link to his article. You'll have to look it up.

the kid is very talented - very

the right director can pull an academy
performance from him
true
some training and the right script and the right director

metro sexual is coming, look out

fame and fortune beyond his dreams if he plays it right

the world is waiting

he conveys more in a three second stare into the camera then many actors generate in a 15 minute gig - he has it

all you so easily bored need to get back to reruns of Gilligan's Island

John Waters, where are you ???

Wow, and I always thought I'd be shunned for disliking Chris. He just creeps me out, okay? SORRY!

That guy above me is kind of intense... And Chris is not metro, I'm pretty sure he's a bona fide tranny.

@18 that is something I hadn't at all considered, but you may actually be on to something. His overacting is one thing that irritates me to no end, but it is obviously playing to middle America, so some people like it.

There is no director alive that could get a decent performance out of him even if the script was Memento-good. We all know Chris would never settle for just an acting credit. He is the type who also wants a writing credit and anyone with an internet connection can see what he is capable of writing.

I'd rather watch 30 years of back to back Gilligan's Island episodes than 30 more seconds of his act.

I'm excited for him! I think he's wildly entertaining and people are only sick of him because they did it to themselves by forcing themselves to watch something they don't like. They should leave him alone and let us who do enjoy him watch the show in peace.
