Hello? NSFW tag? And put the nudity behind the jump, please!

Just because most of us Slog readers are progressive doesn't mean our employers are gung-ho for bare tops.

Like sand through the hourglass... so does Charles post NSFW pics without discretion.

I think Charles is now just posting images to get a rise out of those of us who need NSFW tags.

if your boss sees that image, he will think you are reading national geographic.com, if there is such a website.

those women are not naked; they are natural.

Ah, reminds me of the good ol' days... looking through my father's extensive National Geographic collection, hoping for that elusive glimpse of saggy African chesticle.

And now I'm gay. Coincidence? I think not!

How is that image any less safe for work than the Lovers Package / Lust Lab / Hump! / Whisky Bar vagina spewing dollar bill banners?

to Chas @7: It is NSFW if the naked ("natural") people in question are sexxay, and they are. The slightly more National Geographic approach would be to see the saggity old ladies. But you knew that...
thanks for the pornZ!

I thought it prohibited in the constitution to accept honorary titles from foreign nations. Like being knighted.

Dude, seriously: NSFW tag.

Is Mudede just trying to piss off slog readers? Normally, I like the guy - even his socialist posts.

I doubt my boss would be offended but I bet she'd still say it's NSFW. This is the corporate world a lot of your readers live in.

Thanks for your understand, asshat.

As usual, McDermott is doing more for people outside this district than inside it.

Here's the thing: McDermott has a safe seat. He could use the fact that his seat is safe to really become an outspoken and highly visible proponent of progressive and humanitarian issues. Instead, the only media coverage he gets shades him wacky. Whereas Patty Murray has become a powerful member of the Senate, McDermott is never characterized as a powerful member of the House. We need a new representative with fresh ideas and energy who can get more done for Seattle than this bozo Lesotho Knight does. Enough with the trips to Iraq and the Michael Moore interviews: let's see some serious political *work* and get some benefit from it. Otherwise, let's start talking about his replacement.

owza - seriously you jest?

Jim is not in a safe seat because we are stupid. He has EARNED it.

Whee were you when they smeared him daily with the title Baghdad Jim for his consistent anti war politics?

Hey, when he decide to step down as in retires, that is when, and ONLY when, the dog pile begins.

There are ten heavy hitters waiting for that seat, incl. Ed Murray, on the top of the pile for the moment.

You sound like a teenager or quasi Republican. Get a clue. Jim is beloved.

@ 11 - Ronald Reagan, Caspar Weinberger and Rudy Giuliani - among other U.S. citizens - have all received honorary knighthoods from QEII. She taps them on the shoulder with some sort of epee she keeps in her purse for that sort of thing. Then they all run around "sirring" one another and drinking Pimm's Cup #2. Truly gay.

@18 Jim McDermott may have earned his safe seat years ago, but like a professor with tenure he has become soft, lazy, distracted, and ineffectual. I think owza is onto something, so I welcome the political dawn of young people like owza and others if it means McDermott and Gold can shift into retirement while the younger set starts getting back to work.

A group of topless white women would have been labeled NSFW. How come a group of topless Black women are not similarly labeled?

Posted by Papayas | September 8, 2007 2:13 PM
24

@23 - because of the cultural context. These women are not topless because they are Girls Gone Wild, they are topless because those outfits don't come with tops. Culturally acceptable (and therefore not inappropriate) nudity.

In our country it doesn't matter if the women are white or black - topless is topless and is teehee'd over by straight men and grumped at by straight women.
