“ Eventually managed to chew through the leather straps which bound him …”
“Armed with the leg as a blunt instrument …”
“ No Crow warrior was safe from his wrath …”

Behold the amazing tale of Liver-Eating Johnson, the toughest man to ever walk the earth.

Scary stuff.

I sold cds over the weekend to some stores, but also (and preferably) to someone I know. He owns a Belltown nightclub and picked up about 10 of the disks for $5. While he was looking over the stack, he made a lot of interesting comments and we talked for awhile. He didn't buy my twee pop complilation to benefit East Timor, but he did say a bit about the situation. His teenage daughter apparently traveled through the area and saw some intense death scenes and disembodiements.

Again, scary stuff. Interesting read Andrew.

There's a Mel Gibson movie lurking somewhere in this story. Oh, wait, John Johnston never gets tortured. Never mind.

That book, though mostly based on true events, is an awesome read.

All of his friends despised his liver eating and were grossed out, not at the act, but the fact that he was eating indian livers. He also led an army of mountain men against a certain tribe and each mountain man had his own nickname and unique talent/weapon.
