"Liberal media" never fails to make my blood boil. Pop culture is liberal, but the folks that bring us news and information are conservative as hell. If there was a liberal media we wouldn't be in a bullshit war. People who disagreed with Bush after 9/11 wouldn't have been branded as traitors. Erg.

You missed a more important one, Dan. They blew up another bridge. Currently, the only bridge in Baghdad connects a Sunni insurgent stronghold and Shia death squad run neighborhood. Baghdad is become more isolated.

The term "Liberal Media" makes me want to kill people too. The media is only as "liberal" as the fucking huge, conservative corporations that own it.

I haven't figured out yet what makes "liberal" such a bad thing. And even when the media does put a "liberal" spin on things they still don't go far enough.

ps btw, Bill Kristol is a fucktard and he can suck my balls. That's right Bill... SUCK! MY! BALLS!

Any media that does not take a hard-line, right-wing-extremist viewpoint would be considered "Liberal" by these folks.

Unless, perhaps, they're referring to this blog? ;)

Liberal (noun/adj.):

> broad: showing or characterized by broad-mindedness; "a broad political stance"; "generous and broad sympathies"; "a liberal newspaper"; "tolerant of his opponent's opinions"

> having political or social views favoring reform and progress
tolerant of change; not bound by authoritarianism, orthodoxy, or tradition

> a person who favors a political philosophy of progress and reform and the protection of civil liberties

For the life of me, I've never understood why these things are considered bad, or why this country's liberals can't throw these definitions back in the conservatives' cats'-ass faces.

The worst thing the media does regarding Iraq is that they run the same story every single day. Don't think we haven't caught on.

Oh, they change up the names and places a bit, but every day it's the same thing (car bombings, assassinations, dead civilians, dead soldiers, etc).

meanwhile, back on the home front, there's a "culture war" ablazin'. at least if all the books, coffee mugs, t-shirts, jackets, and golf paraphernalia for sale at billoreilly.com are to be believed [and really, why shouldn't we believe them? after all, what does o'reilly have to gain from all this? hmmm....]. no, really. seriously. pay no attention to those other wars over there. this one is much more important!

if there is anything bad going on in the world right now, we can all rest assured knowing that liberals are responsible for it, and conservatives are hard at work turning a profit by making sure we're fully aware of this.

7: You mean reporting the news?

Maybe we can make the press corps more like local news with nice stories about rainbows and kittens or "fun" hight speed car chases through the streets of Baghdad.
