marijuana burns hotter than tobacco, that is why 1 joint is equal to 2 or more cigarettes. it still carries significant health risks. to say otherwise is irresponsible.

Time to start strip-searching and throwing down smokers.

They are obviously a threat.

That's why using a vaporizor or eating it is the healthy way to go.

@1 - The problem with these studies is they always fuck up the quantity. Yes, inhaling smoke is bad for you, regardless of what you're burning.

One entire cigarette is a single-dose for one person, but, who the hell smokes an entire joint by themselves?

Why don't they ever conduct a REAL study? Like, how bad is it to smoke a bowl or two of weed per day? I'm guessing that someone who smokes one cigarette per day doesn't have nearly the risk of some who smokes a pack.

Of course, the addictive properties of nicotine almost guarantee that, if someone smokes, they will smoke more than one cigarette per day. But, that is not true of pot. I'll bet a vast majority of pot smokers consume the weight equivalent of LESS than one cigarette per day.

How is it that doctors of death have such creepy names?

Hey, Will, I wasn't trying to imply we should punish tobacco smokers (actually, it concerns me that a growing number of young people think tobacco should be banned). Rather, I wanted to point out that it's absurd to claim this study, which does have some scientific merit but has been twisted for political leverage, indicates that people suffer more bodily harm from smoking pot than cigarettes. Pot may be more harmful puff-per-puff, but the illegal drug has negligible physiological impacts overall, compared to legal cigarettes that cause over 400,000 annual deaths.

Ok, fuck inhaling anything try drinking the TINCTURE! This is my favorite:

Stuff a jar with herb then fill it with everlcear (or some other pure alcohol) then wait 9 days, strain.

To serve: using a shot glass measure up a 1/4 inch or more (beware after 3/4 inch!). I like mine with water and ice, others shoot it.

Half hour later: bliss.

Seriously, why do none of these 'pot is just as bad as cigarettes' articles ever bring up the fact that you CAN get stoned without actually *smoking*. Vaporizers? Cookies? anyone?
then the next anti pot ad would probably just state "pot turns you into a fat cookie loving bastard"
like everyone else.....
