I was under the impression that if it was in the Pacific ocean, it was called a typhoon not a hurricane?

Typhoon is I think east of the dateline. Hawai'i has hurricanes, Australia and the Philippines have typhoons.

Lady Penelope makes me feel all funny inside.

No, Australia has cyclones, not hurricanes or typhoons.

And the Thunderbirds are not weird. The Thunderbirds are AWESOME!

I wonder what Cindy Sheehan, Sean Penn, and Harry Belafonte think of their dear friend Hugo Chavez now?

@4:

If shrub's poll numbers were currently in the 50's or higher, I'll bet we'd be hearing similar talk in this country.

And the sort of horrific events as occured in N. Iraq just goes to show why the so-called "surge" is ultimately an ineffectual strategy; deaths may be going down in Baghdad, but by concentrating our forces in such a small area we've pretty much left most of the rest of the country wide-open for these types of attacks.

And Bradley, can we get the opening to "UFO" tomorrow? Best effing TV theme music to come out of the 1960's!

Good thing the guy in the rape case who was proven innocent due to DNA hadn't been executed as AG Gonzales would like.

There's no appeal from execution.
