onI tried. I went to bed, I set an alarm. I got up, took the tripod and the camera outside. I really wanted to take an honest, pretty picture of the eclipse. A moment with Nature. I set a nice long exposure on the camera…
Um, WTF is that under the moon?

My flying blue cock-and-balls - took them out for a spin last night; sorry to ruin your picture.
Hummingowl.
I applaud thar you tried nonetheless.
With the best intentions, I set my alarm for 3.
The only thing I saw was my clock reading 3AM and my hand swatting at it to turn off =X
lens flare... duh :-P
SPRING BREAK!
brappy, don't ruin the fun.
It's obviously Blackout from the Transformers movie.
Wow, I didn't know you could get glow-in-the-dark, um, "marital aids." Let alone flying glow-in-the-dark marital aids.
It's a Y-Wing fighter. Y-wang.
looks like normal lens flare, moon shots are really hard to get, breathing can mess up a shot.
I got this pic from beach drive in west seattle around 2:40
I'm with Trent. Y-Wang all the way.
IT'S A STREETLAMP!
/had to be done
It's just a ball of luminescent swamp-gas.
It's ALWAYS "just a ball of luminescent swamp-gas"...
Dr. Evil no doubt
@22 - Or a weather balloon...
a refracted image of what you are shooting that has recorded on the final print in reverse. That happens lots in cameras and shows up when shooting something brighter than surrounding area usually they are not as bright as the object you are shooting. Your original image is a little overexposed and a little blurry so it comes out looking like it has a ghost object in reverse.
Here's a shot from my roof on Capitol Hill.
