It is being picked up in Denver. I was on KHOW radio this morning and FOX in Denver ran the story. Channel 9 may also run it today. As I struggle I am again so offended that this man with hundred of thousands of dollars begs for funds while I am still living out of boxes. GREED and of course DENIAL.

This is indeed excellent news. Anytime Christian hypocracy is exposed it is Tikkun Olum for our community.

Thanks to The Stranger and Dan Savage for being the pit bulls attacking these idiot Christians. Judaism is the only religion that makes it's followers more righteous. All other religions are for idiots.

@2 & @4: All organized religions are equally stupid. Acting all holier-than-thou about Christianity is stupid. You're all rolling around in stupidity together.

Tak Landrock (don't you just love that name!)at KRDO Channel 13 in Denver seems to be doing a good job following this. After reading the most recent updates, I called the Hawaii state office that handles business licensing and confirmed that non-profits are NOT required to verify their IRS tax-exempt status.

So the fact that FWAM is registered with the State of Hawaii doesn't mean anything in terms of being legal to take tax-deductible contributions. Can't wait to see the IRS follow up on this.

Why is no reporter emphasizing the illegality of using a nonprofit to funnel otherwise taxable contributions to a private person (Haggard)? This is tax fraud. It violates the Internal Revenue Code. This could result in criminal liability for Haggard. Does no one care about that part of the story?
