posted by on August 24 at 8:20 AM

Uh… is Ted Nugent going to get in trouble for holding up two machine guns at a concert and… uh… threatening the lives of Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton?

LOLOLOLOL You know, I may be as socialist, liberal as they come. I also wish most Republicans and Baby Boomers would just die. However, for some reason Ted Nugent tickles me. I don't know what it is about him but I love that guy. Except for his homophobia.

Awww. That was a touching moment. Very sweet of him.

No. Only liberals get in trouble for such things.

Guess they don't call him the Motor City Madman for nothing.

Comdemnation from Bill OReilly in 3...2...no? No comment from Bill saying that Nugent's as bad as the Nazis or KKK? Hmm. But I thought.... oh, Fuck it.

It always bugged me when Charlton Heston would wave a gun an proclaim, "they can take this from my cold, dead hand."

If he was a black panther, or an member of AIM, how long do you think it would take them before they would be taking it from his cold, dead hand?

@ 4: Yeah and Pol Pot was cuddly little snuggle bear except for that whole "Killing Fields" thing.
And David Duke, except for the racism, you gotta love that guy.

I hate Ted since he flipped of the glorious Stephanie Miller on Bill Mahers show when it was still on ABC.

No, you're not,

@ 12 Yes, muckfetron is an idiot. And not just Pol Pot, David Duke?! Ted Nugent may be a bit homophobic but in case anyone forgets the very first winner of his reality TV game-show/survivor thing (and only winner? I'm not sure if there was more than one season) was a gay man. He was also selected by Ted himself as the winner. The gays may make him feel uncomfortable but I think he's also uncomfortable about the fact that he feels that way.

Hey, literalists, I am not saying that Ted Nugent is as bad as Pol Pot or David Duke. What I am saying is that to say you like him, except for his right wing views such as homophobia, is an idiotic statement like "I like Dan Savage except for the whole sex columnist, editor, author, pitbull hating, bike riding thing"

I can see the posts now. "Is someone comparing Ted Nugent to Dan Savage?"

Get a fucking clue!

What, you don't appreciate his roguish, sophisticated wit?

Seriously, that was obnoxious but I didn't hear the threat. It was obviously meant to have threatening overtones, but it didn't seem like an explicit threat.

@9:

Which was why I laughed like a hyena when Tim Roth did just exactly that in the "Planet Of The Apes" remake...

wait, did you just say dan savage is as bad as david duke? only black people like pit bulls?

@16 Yeah dude, you're absolutely right. If someone has even one flaw they're obviously incapable of having any redeeming qualities.

Get a clue? *snickers*

Why not forward this to the Secret Service? They investigated threats people made on Bill O'Reilly's site that were a lot less explicit than this.

Yes JessB you are absolutely right. Let's not focus on Ted's "one flaw". Lets look at his good side. After all who cares if he is a hate filled asshole who works to destroy things many of us hold dear. Big whoop, right? Just focus on his delicious jerky and awesome guitar riffs.
After all the Hitler had a flaw but boy did he make some pretty paintings!

Ted Nugent is an asshole. Maybe he helped an old lady cross the street or shared his drugs and underage Thai bride at some point, but I think his redneck "I hate Liberals, America Love it or leave it" attitude is a bit more important.

Now who's being a literalist? Of course Ted Nugent probably has MANY flaws. I don't like him for his music either, the only song of his I really ever liked was "Free For All". I enjoy his personality, and his fuck everyone who disagrees with me attitude. He says stupid yet hilarious shit and I appreciate that. You're welcome to hate him though, this is America afterall. I get where he's coming from though...he hates Liberals...I hate Republicans. We have a lot of hate in common.

I'm with JessB. It's pluralism, and most of us are capable of it.
