Seattle Gay Dads Meetup Group

posted by on August 10 at 16:42 PM

Gay dad?

A new Meetup Group—FeatherBoaFathers—is ready to meet all your gay dad Meetup needs. The group is for gay men with young children that want their kids to see other families that look like their own. It’s also for dads that want to “have fun while investing in their children”—and, no, I’m not sure what that means exactly. (Margaritas concealed in water bottles?) The group was founded a couple of weeks ago, and their events have been very well-attended. Their next Meetup is at 11 AM in Cal Anderson park on Capitol Hill, and 46 members are planning to go.

It’s time to get together!

We’ll meet up at the Cal Anderson Park on Capitol Hill near the playground. Blankets, chairs, brunchables to share will make this a wonderful way to meet each other.

Please share this information with other dads that you know whether single, coupled with a newborn or a toddler.

Are you going to go? You should. You should also invite Ecce Homo.

;)

Seems that's the group for dads with infants and toddlers... so I don't qualify. Unless someone wants to lend me a toddler for the day. Ecce?

Hmm...I think it would also be a great place to arrange threeways and the like. You know, one set of dads takes care of like three or four kids, and all their dads hook up. Then you rotate on a weekly basis.

I wouldn't trust someone like you with my Godfish, let alone my children.

However, it does sound like a good time. Maybe we will go down.

This looks great to have a group like this where gays are actually taking care of their young kids.
As comparison The Gay Fathers Association is pretty much a joke. Very little to do with "fathering" as most have grown children. It is more a organization for recovering former straight married folk, currently married bi-sexuals, etc. The Gay Fathers Assoc. is all about socializing and coming out support and little to do with gays raising children.
Thank you for listing this NEW group.

Godfish? Like those little silver things Christians put on the back of their cars?

Brunchables. Seriously. What the hell.

Is that what gay dads send their kids to school with? In little D&G lunch bags?

"I got a ham sandwich, a jell-o cup, and some grapes! And a fruit punch! What did you get?"

"Prosciutto and egg, a ladyfinger, and a star fruit. Oh, and a mimosa."

They'll all sit around and talk about the stock options they cashed in to buy, I mean, adopt, their babies. A bunch of stick up their asses, overly pleased with themselves, PC homos. Blech. I'd rather hang out with a bunch of dads taking their babies to Rick's for brunch! At least then the kids would be getting some real milk.
