Running With Dinosaurs

posted by on August 22 at 14:35 PM

Time travelers take note: you aren’t faster than a dinosaur.

The smallest dinosaur could reach speeds of nearly 40 mph (64 kph) and even the lumbering Tyrannosaurus rex would have been able to outrun most modern-day sportsmen, according to research published on Wednesday.

Science, what would we do without you?

You haven't seen me on my skateboard.

No, but if I did, I'd like to see a T-rex take you off of it.

If you follow the link to the article about the t-rex there's a sidebar link to a story about a Chinese guy with 40 pounds of facial tumors that's got to be one of the most upsetting things I've ever seen on the internet:

Jesus fuck.

Judah, if you're going to try to entice people to click a link to something as Gawd-awful as a man with a 40 lb. facial tumor - DON'T tell them what it is they're going to see ahead of time, just tell them "don't click this link!" and let human nature take its course.

@2 - I'd like to see her try.

I'll just pass one of the runners and let them be breakfast.

Will @5, the more you bravado you display, the more people root for the T-Rex.

That's just because most "modern day sportsmen" are lugging around 50 extra pounds and a cooler of brewskis.

Nothings melts those pounds away faster than a carnosaur attack!

If a carnosaur attacks, I suppose you'd lose pounds one way or another.
