Playing With Fire

As Seth over at Enjoy the Enjoyment points out, the Seattle Times’ Jerry Brewer is threatening the Mariners’ push towards the post-season. The title of his column today:

This M’s team is too good for a slide

Perhaps the most impressive aspect of the M's attack this year - which they showed flashes of last year, too -- is that their bullpen can stop offences, and the M's hitters can come back late in games.

The M's aren't the best team in the race, but I'll bet no team feels comfortable with a lead over the M's heading into the 6th inning.

They have something this year they have not had in years which is THE most important and underrated aspect of any team: Chemistry! We will make the playoffs, lose first round, but be better next year, we are still a relatively young team with a nice mix of rookies and vets...it excites me!!!!
