On a side note, Erica's story on the non-I-5 crunch was okay except for her observation that the correct thing to do now that 120,000 vehicle trips seem to have disappeared from I-5 is to close the Viaduct. We clearly can live without our cars. Right, maybe, but the actual correct answer is to close I-5 now that we've shown over a long-enough time period that we really don't need it. Poor Roseanne, it's always something.

Saw on the news last night that ol' "pedestrian friendly" Nickels has also declared "war on crosswalks" and is ripping them out across four-lane roads across the city.

This is starting to peg my bullshit meter.
