As I said on Monday : Read Mudede’s Police Beat column this week!
That second part almost reads like poetry. :D
Not that funny. I guess you have to obsess more over the SPD to appreciate it. I don't so I didn't.
I was thinking that the funny had been killed by the hype, then I realized that all the funny was hiding in the tiny "Emptiness" item.
Seriously, aren't we done with the cops and donuts meme yet? Homer and a donut is funnier, even after 18 seasons.
Mmmmmmmmmm! Donnut!
Agree with @1
A simple sentence that captures the drudgery of police work.
And the donut truck story is a sight gag that doesn't work nearly as well in text. Quite the let down to that build up.
You can never have enough donuts.
"Funniest Police Beat all year."
Ummm, no. Given Josh's demonstrated lack of a functioning sense of humor, I only have myself to blame for feeling let down.
I thought it was funny, and I usually hate the shit Charles writes.
I have to agree that The Emptiness does indeed contain the greatest opening in the entire history of police reports.
The Emptiness is wonderful, a gem.
