Wow, two hours later, and I'm the first poster. Nobody cares about health care. Weird. Not even the guy who always turns every question back to Dan's support for the war back in 2002.
"Allllll by myself... alllll by myselfffff..."
Health care rocks! Boo Republicans! Yay Democrats!
Goddamnit, it's just not fun without fnarf, poe, gomez, and the gang.
This is like some weird Twilight Zone episode where the guy wakes up and he's the last guy on earth and everyone else has mysteriously vanished.
I think it's because there's not much to add. Health care policy in this country is fucked, and it hurts real people every day, just like this guy.
I think the best reason to support Kucinich is that he's the only candidate who supports single-payer universal health care. Of the top three candidates, only Edwards has a comprehensive plan that would cover everyone, but it's not single payer. Obama would let people opt out, meaning many people would remain uninsured. Hillary's being vague and refusing to even stand behind her deeply flawed plan from 1993-1994. Even Romney's health plan for Massachusetts is better than what Hillary's willing to stand behind. That should be one of her signature issues.
That's exactly why Kucinich is my favorite, and if I thought he had any chance at all I'd vote for him. But I want to win this election, so I'm going with Edwards.
We get so caught up in our daily struggles to survive and maintain that we sometimes forget there's so much that needs to be done in this country.
The gentleman reminded me and made me cry.
Yeah - this country is fucked. If Edwards really is the only one with a real plan besides the Kuch - I may have to rethink my Richards love.
