Read Greenwald on this. Post "Larry Craig's bathroom behavior and the right wing -- then and now" at

If he does resign, Idaho's Very Republican gun-knut Governor probably appoints his replacement, anyway.

And in order to placate the frothing fundies, he's going to have to pick someone even more bat-shit crazy than Craig was.

Which means, the the fundies will become even more disillusioned when whomever that turns out to be is eventually outed/busted for whatever repressed "sins" they've been hiding in the closet for their entire adult life, as seems to be the current recurring pattern with GOPers these days.

"Lather, rinse, repeat."

They really have to be careful about using verbage like "fallen short" in this situation...

The Real You is always waging a gorilla war on the Fake You. So the Fake You builds bigger and more elaborate defences agains the Real You's attacks. And when you're dealing with men and sexuality the attacks come out of no where, frequently and with little or no warning.
These guys are fucked.

Increasingly, GOP stands for Grand Old Perverts!

Although I do wish he would have been outed in a long term relationship with a guy, if even cheating on his beard.

Being busted in a bathroom stall isn't exactly advancing the movement that we're just like everybody else.

Though Dan has smartly written in the past that we may not be relegated to seeking sex in stalls if homosexuality were more widly accepted.

he's a pervert now?

foot tapping - finger signals

cruising - horror of horrors

some of you people are not thinking well

this could be you or someone you know well

called entrapment - I bet the cop responded in some way

he is a gross hypocrite, political dead duck -sad guy

most likely fears ex - communication as well

I have a hunch that Senator Craig probably like cruising at Sea-Tac or in Seattle itself, it would make sense, Horizon flights to Boise an hour or so away, anonymous enough.

So, let me get this straight. If they throw out the right-wing lying apostate in-the-closet Gay Old Party republicant, they're going to replace him with another one?

Now that's stupid.
