Media Intel Pulls Controversial Ad
posted by August 3 at 11:29 AM
onThe ad, which depicts a bunch of dark-skinned sprinter dudes bowing down before a smarmy-looking, paunchy white guy, could be interpreted as showing the massive power of Intel’s awesome processors or something. But please. First of all, if these “sprinters” actually took off, they’d run smack into each other. Second… Well, just LOOK at it.

lol, marketing teams
Looking at the ad I just don't see what the big deal is.
bowing down? they're getting on mark.
See, now if THIS were a Resident Evil game it would be racist!
I see the message: This company hires black guys.
And makes them work without their shirts on. Uh huh.
Erica, if that's your notion of "paunchy" I'm never leaving the house again. That guy weighs 125 pounds.
What kills me is that Charles is not talking about this ad.
I'm sorry, what was this post again? I was too distracted by the erection caused by seeing those fucking hot sprinters to read.
That guy has a paunch for sure. Especially compared to his toned staff.
Yeah, it would take a fool not to see the problems with this ad.
The trouble is the racial overtones would be absent if they had just used a mix of people dressed as sprinters, especially since they are supposed to represent employees.
What kinda scary place has a white manager and all-black employees? Tara?

It's too easy for him. He needs to find some real ridiculous shit to pull a race issue out of his ass.
What Poe @ #11 said
Let me guess, they think AMD is from Africa, right? And Intel is our White Savior come to teach the ignorant savages?
News flash - cities were in Africa long before they were in Europe. Millions of people in a city. Europe was bogs and huts.
@11
This is the most true statement ever said on Slog.
AdFreak is a great blog, I'm glad to see the link
Will, name me a city in Africa with two million residents when Europe was "bogs and huts".
Cities are a Mesopotamian thing.
Fnarf, cities are an ancient Chinese thing :-P
