posted by on August 22 at 10:10 AM

Slate has a cool video up. It shows Republicans and Democrats grading the “believability” of Hillary Clinton’s first television ad in real time.

I like how the red line ticks up at the very end. So they believe that she approved this message? How reassuring.

I was surprised that comparing the two lines that the Republicans stayed higher than I thought they would have. (I seriously thought they would drop to the negative 80% right away and stay there).

Notice the sharp Republican downturn everytime she said "this president"? He's completely savaged your party, people. Disapprove of him, not that it will do any good.

Note the sharp Republican drop near the end when she said that the downtrodden wouldn't be invisible to her.

Can it be that the Republicans are even more jaded than Democrats when it comes to believing Hillary is a progressive?

Meh. She loses major points for not talking about more candy and soda machines.

Now let's see it with a Rudy G ad :-)

She's going to win, and it will be a good thing, especially if she choses Obama as VP.

Annoying to have to sit through a commercial in order to watch the commercial you clicked to watch.

I'm predicting Clinton/Biden. If I'm wrong, you'll have forgotten this and I won't bring it up. If I'm right, everyone will believe I have magical powers. Mark my words: Clinton/Biden vs. Giuliani/Someone you've never heard of.

Clinton/Biden? New York/Delaware?

And lose the west? I don't think so Grant, but it's an interesting match-up.

If Clinton gets the nomination, I'd bet more on her picking Richardson. The Dems really, seriously, desperately need to start playing to their strengths.
