Hm. You know, I hear from poo fetishists all the time. I almost never hear from baby rapers -- seriously. The only time I hear about NAMBLA is when they're trotting it out -- which now they do as a punch line almost exclusively. Rarely is it mentioned as a real threat anymore.

What would be wrong with any of those debates? Given Seattle's proximity to the Enumclaw horse as well as the number of cross dressers that have to be present, I would suggest the Stranger set up exactly those debates and invite the candidates.

Wait a minute, Dan. Back in the late '90s, The Stranger ran a long article in which one of the staff attended the national NAMBLA convention right here in Seattle. I think it was Matthew Stadler, and in the end, he seemed to endorse the idea of abolishing the age of consent. It looks like March 20, 1997 from the Google search I did.
