Everybody Hates George

posted by on August 21 at 9:09 AM

Just how unpopular is George W. Bush? The GOP hasn’t gotten around to inviting Bush—who is, um, a sitting Republican president—to the Republican National Convention in Minneapolis next year.

While most departing presidents of modern times have attended their party’s convention and been lavishly saluted there, Matt Burns, a spokesman for the Republican Convention, said Bush’s involvement “has not been determined.”

What are the odds that Fox News will “mistakenly” label Bush a Democrat sometime during the convention?

GWB is an undercover operative sent by the Dems to destroy the GOP and send them into the wilderness for another 40 years.

Suckers!

They’ll sort it out and ‘W will make a great speech flanked by Laura and his parents. This is not so novel. Remember that Democrats had similar misgivings about Clinton appearing at the convention in 2000.

Republicans, not RINOs, will be eager to see our president being applauded at the convention. They only have to postulate how terrible it would have been if Gore or Kerry had assumed the Oval Office. Would we have had another devastating attack on America? Would we be enjoying the record growth of federal revenue caused by a growing economy fueled by sensible tax cuts?

The upcoming Republican convention will probably be the last hurrah for awhile as the country descends into the malaise of a Democrat administration that punishes success and rewards dependency.

I'm starting to think the next big terrorist attack will be Sept 08 at which time Bush/Cheney will suspend the constitution and take over the U.S.

There won't be a 2008 presidential ellection.
