The Republican will (finally) make the official announcement that he’s running for president. When exactly? Sept. 6.

Oh, I'm sorry, I said...

WHY DON'T YOU SUCK MY BALLS, FRED THOMPSON?

@1 - I'm surprised he's not doing it from the men's lavatory at the Ronald Reagan airport in DC ...

He's been announcing that he'd be announcing that he'd be announcing that he'd be announcing on September 6th for fucking YEARS!

I can't stand him already ;]

And the search commences for evidence of any coherent thought or position on any subject whatsoever. The guy makes Reagan look like Heidegger. Christ, he makes DAN QUAYLE look like Heidegger. I've taken shits with more brains and personality than Fred Thompson. He seems like a nice guy because THERE'S NOTHING THERE.

Bob Roberts, anyone?

Personally, the only part that surprises me is that his Pander-o-Matic didn't tell him it would be most advantageous to announce on September 11.

Cynically yours,

Ohh, nice to see a few upstanding and loyal Americans exercising their freedom to be first rate scumbags...Do you kiss your momma with that mouth Monk?

Tell ya' what, I've got a few friends I've trained with that live in Seattle who would love to help you with that testicular situation Monk, although not the way you're thinkin'.

The last re-run of Law & Order is scheduled to run on Sept. 1st which leaves Fred contractually available to accept our request to run for President.

Don't all of you grow up at once now.

How sure are you that your friends wouldn't be willing to help out monkey in exactly the way he's thinking. After all, last week no one thought that Larry Craig was a disgusting old faggot with a fetish for toilet sexual encounters. I'll bet a lot of your friends crap "...with a wide stance".
Oh, and what kind of training were you and your friends going through? Transvestite cabaret dancing? Or something more butch.

You're aware of course that Law and Order is not a documentary and that Fred Thompson was not the New York district attorney. And that In the Line of Fire also wasn't a documentary and that Fred was not White House Chief of Staff, and also that The Hunt for Red October was also not a documentary and that Fred Thompson also was not actually a rear admiral in charge of a carrier air group. You and your friends who are inviting him to run are aware of this, yes? Just checking.

Don't all of you grow up at once now.

So, other than fucking hot women who are young enough to be his daughter what does old Fred D. Thompson stand for? Also what was his excuse for not serving in the military? His Wikipedia entry has no mention of military service, so is he another chickenshit chickenhawk like Rudy Mussolini, er I mean Guiliani, Mitt ("I couldn't go to Vietnam because I was on a mission to France to convert the French to Mormonism and my sons can't go to Iraq because they're too busy driving a Winnebago around Iowa") Romney, Sam Brownback and Mike Huckabee?

Fred Thompson is not the dark horse candidate the GOP will pick (he still is not the thrill for the fundies in the party). I would seriously look at Hucklebee (did very well in the Iowa straw poll without spending much money) or someone else we have not heard of yet.

Rudy, Rommney and the other big names are going to peter out fourth quarter this year. They are not getting the big GOP money nor the endorsements. And I will throw this out, Rove resigned in part to start "helping" the next GOP candidate.

So Dems, can we all stop thinking 2008 will be a cake walk? I will tell you one thing about the Democrats, if we can find a way to do it, we will clench a defeat from the jaws of victory. Our complanancy will lead to a GOP victory in 2008. Assume NOTHING at this point. The GOP is going to do everything they can do to hold onto power. Legal or illegal, ethical or not.
