Don’t Call it a Nano

posted by on August 23 at 12:06 PM

Crunchgear has info and photos of the (rumored to be) new iPod Nano that probably won’t be called a Nano. It’s cute, I want.

It's not fat. It's big form factored.

This thing could give the Zune a chance. Unless of course they put a touch-screen on the hard-drive iPods.

Fugly, to say the least. An obese iPod for an obese country. How fitting.

This has "fake" written ALL OVER IT.

It's not very hard for someone to photoshop a picture of a regular ipod by cutting it in half.

Wouldn't be the first time fake Apple products "leaked".

yeah, you can see in that image that it's a photoshop, right down to the extension. that's lame.

plus as the owner of the current slim nano - don't change the form factor!! it fits in the 5th pocket of my levis and couldn't be more perfect.

...and the colors??? Apple has locked the iPod brand with "sexy." These don't look sexy....unless....wait! these iPods are for those sex-crazed geriatrics we've been reading about lately. Brilliant!
New name will be iPod Granny.

Naw, it's legit. We just got this:

We represent Apple Inc. ("Apple"). It has come to our attention that CrunchGear is posting a photograph that violates Apple's copyrights. The photograph in question is available at http://crunchgear.com/2007/08/22/bloops-apple-legal-essentially-confirms-fat-nano-existence/.

Apple therefore requests that you remove this photograph from CrunchGear immediately.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation,

heh, a cease and desist letter from apple only proves that the rumors are true!

nice work, law-dudes!

A cease and desist letter proves nothing. It could very well be that Apple simply wanted those weird looking things removed to prevent anyone from thinking that these are legit.

looks really bad. Very zune in colour scheme and I don't think Apple would do that.
