I've totally seen this game before at one of those 21+ gameworks type places with a bar open to all patrons.
It's still better than Boonga Boonga.
There used to be something very like this in the Fun Forest in Seattle Center. It was still there -- in the new game hut thing -- as recently as three years ago.
The game title is in Japanese. Are we sure it doesn't say "FISTING FURY: Can your ass take it?"
This is taking us one step closer to some kind of coin-operated Fighting Robot Challenge, which I think we can all agree is a completely appropriate and inevitable application of robot technology.
They have a classic arm wrestling machine at the Musée Mécanique in San Francisco.
I can see how you could break your arm trying to beat it because it's just a hydraulic arm. It's going to win.
As a teen in Ohio, I watched some tuff guy try to impress his friends with a hard punch to the mechanical punching bag on an arcade game. They were so impressed, they drove him and his broken hand to the hospital.
I was always heard that arm wrestling is really really bad for you. Bad for your joints and tendons, and I can imagine it's such a lovely move for your rotator cuff. I mean it's a fun idea in theory, hell the meathead in me wants to give it a try, but ... not it's not safe at all!
Just stick to the mechanical bull.
