what's really more upsetting is the creeping creeping creeping of the weekly's design to look like Stranger 2 Electric Boogaloo. I don't know what font that is something like Arial Bold Fat Wide that the stranger uses every everywhere but it's cropping up all the hell over the weekly. I wish it would stop.

Christopher, you register an impassioned argument. However, doesn't the Weekly hate the Stranger? Aren't they bigger and older?

Don't you think it isn't already awesome enough to be the Weekly? I mean I don't see how they could be doing what you imply. Because why would they just go ahead and want to pinch their nostrils shut without benefit of manual pinch and just go ahead and receive David Schmader's balls in their mouth like that, still concentrating enough to, you know, just go ahead and simultaneously clip his goddamned toenails? At the bench, at the bus stop. Why?

I love D schmade's last days hot tips, but I also thought the feature about the bus system was good. I didn't know they bus drivers had to file reports for EVERYTHING that happened, and thought that the reason the article was successful was the bus drivers and their wittiness (or despair at having to deal with these people ever again).

Shouldn't The Stranger be happy when the SW gets it right every once in a while? After all, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

The bus thing was just a hate crime against people riding on bus lines, trying to make the car-driving swells feel good about how they are too busy and important to ride the bus, but might ride light rail.

As opposed to say a Charles Mudede version.

The Stranger also invented ALL FONTS and were the first to put Illustrations on the cover. What? Whats The New Yorker? dont know about that...if its not in Seattle I m not aware of it....as far aas im concerned theres only 2 publications in existance. SW and the Stranger

Thanks for listing all those passing mentions of bus incidents - now, if only the Stranger had thought of compiling them into a single funny story - as the Weekly did - we might not have forgotten them. You also forgot to mention that at SW's site you can hear authors such as Jonathan Raban read the reports aloud. Hint hint Stranger.

You suppose David Schmader is the FIRST and ONLY person to have written about Metro passengers? How does it feel to have invented EVERYTHING? It must be frustrating knowing that everyone is out to steal your ideas, cover stories you've already written about.

And trust me, the only reason the Slog gets as much action as it does is because you update it so often. Which is why Dlisted is the No. 1 celeb blog; MK's a chronic poster.
