Ok someone do "Whose Salves Are These?"
whose ralph's are these? that's what i wanna know.
those are fetlocks.
A Past Caliph!!
yo mamma's a fetlock.
Not my Caliph!
While we're at it, we might as well get these out of the way:
"Whose caves are these?"
"Whose (Cleveland) Cavs are these?"
"Whose (Marvin) Kalbs are these?"
"Whose calipers are these?"
"Whose 'Calvin Kleins' are these?"
And last, but not least:
"Whose gastrocnemii are these?"
Those aren't Caliphs, they're mounted cavalry of the Prophet Mohammed. Or Saladin.
I can never keep those two straight - let me draw you a cartoon ...
@ Will in Seattle, no need to draw a cartoon I have this super duper "Images of Mohammed" Toilet paper! I guess that it can give you a rash and some crabs but the picture of Mohammed is truely inspired!!!
Since I lack a sense of humor and take everything literally, I'll just assume this is a serious question. Commenters may now commence with the glib remarks.
Take your pick of Suleiman Qanuni, Timurlane, Salah ud-Din, Harun ar-Rashid, or Mehmet Fatih. They're the only five a western artist would likely have any knowledge of (respectively: clashed with west, play by Marlow, clashed with west, 1001 nights, clashed with west).
Or take your pick of Mongol Khan (Chagatai, Chingiz, Hulagu... whatever, there were so many)
I recognize the painting, but hell if I can recall who it's of without a bit more background.
@9! HEY! HEY! watch it! if some fanatic flies a plane into my post now, i'll be really pissed at you.
Whose Glaives Are These?

@Takes everything literally: Sorry, but definite points for taking a swing at it.
@11 - well, so long as the Saudis aren't reading the Stranger, we should be safe.
Hmm, is that the one hanging at the Louvre? I thought it looked familiar ... or is it in Venice or Florence?
