Just wondering,
Are DVD projections worse than normal film?
I notice no difference at all, but I've heard some cinephiles sniffing about the heresy of DVD vs. film projection. Apparently there's some kind of slight blurring in the corners of the screen that's the DVD giveaway, but I've never noticed it.
Yes, absolutely, DVD projections are worse than normal film. Even if you think you don't notice it--you certainly would if you saw a DVD and a print projected side by side.
Though blurring and pixelation are the dead giveaways, the real loss, in my opinion, has to do with the quality of the light.
