Turns out? What the fuck? The word diagnosed is getting duller by the day.

Oh, you don't have extensively drug resistant TB, you only have multidrug-resistant TB. That's no problem. You can fly wherever you'd like.

If you believe you have a loaded gun in your hands, and you fire into a crowd, but the gun was mistakenly filled with blanks, is it still attempted murder?

I think that guy is still guilty of depraved indiffence to human life.

Yo, Block, you're still a cunt.

What is up with the war guy, anyway? You'd think Dan was trying to run for president or something.

Isn't there a rule about off-topic posts?

Sorry Dan, you're not my favorite homo, but maybe in the top ten. Keep it up!

Yes, supporting the invasion of Iraq has just skyrocketed Dan's career in the stratosphere.

No wait, it really hasn't. It's just brought the trolls out of the woodwork to remind us over and over why we shouldn't be reading Dan's column or some such bullshit.

Little does the troll know, all he's accomplishing is giving Slog more hits.

And back to the topic--we shouldn't be freaked out that the CDC, Homeland Security, and other authorities can't successfully quarantine or ground a person believed to pose major health risks to the population at large, because it turns out he wasn't that bad off? My panties remain bunched.

Yes, yes, Jonh (or whoever). We get it. It is entirely Dan's fault that this nation invaded another country. If Dan had just shut up, no doubt Bush would not have suggested we invade at all. It is 100% Dan's fault, and solely Dan's fault that we are now in a state of war. No doubt Bush will invite him to the White House any day now to pin a medal on his chest for convincing a doubting public and congress into supporting the war all by himself. It'll happen. I'm sure of it. Any day now...

Oh, we were talking about TB and douchebags? Sorry. Carry on.

This sort of medical gaffe lends great credibility to the evidence cited in ECB's scare piece on bird flu.

Time to uncrap our pants? I'm usually right behind you, Mr. Savage, but this time NO.

MDR is just as bad as XDR. Why? Because you can spread them. And you can die from them. And he still got on a plane and exposed millions of people.

Basically it's like saying "It's Ok, guys!! It was just a hunting rifle, not a handgun!"

I remain your enthusiastic reader.
Crapfully yours,
Meredith
