I'm loving the Turkish cinema, but I'm wondering why Turkey was/is such a hotbed for this kind of plageristic masterpiece. It's a secular country, open to the West, etc-- couldn't they get the normal Wizard of Oz and Star Wars like everybody else? Is there some reason the Turks wanted to see half-rate copies of Western movies instead of the real thing? Just curious.
The hum bao hoax was awfully easy to believe. That stuff just ain't natural, although it is mighty tasty.
Turkiye en buyuk, baska buyuk yok!
