The Last Man

The new ad for sour Skittles is upsetting in so many ways. Milking a worker is just one of its many wrongs.

Oh my god, THANK YOU Charles! I can't imagine the twisted mind that dreamed this ad up. Every time they show it on tv I throw up in my mouth a little. I've been trying to explain its offensiveness to anyone who will listen, but oddly enough, no one I know has seen it. I'm glad it wasn't in my head after all.

Maybe you could explain it here. I don't see why it's more offensive than any other commercial.

How the mighty have fallen. The actor playing the "cow" is David Groh, a prolific character actor who got his first big break as Joe on the TV show Rhoda. Most recently he appeared on a couple of memorable episodes of Law & Order, playing Dan's favorite kind of guy, a heterosexual dad who abuses his children.

I wasn't a big fan of Skittles before this commercial, but afterwards, I could never even touch them again, and even milk is an iffy prospect.

Thank you for saying what needs to be said Charles!

Now can you help explain the "Sorry Roger, you tiger now" commercial for Comcast?

"Sorry Roger, you tiger now"

I say that about once a day thanks to that commercial.

I LOVE 'Sorry Roger, you tiger now'!

so would a cow be considered a worker now, or is that utterly insane?

Roger the tiger makes me laugh. The sour milk made me wince then laugh. It was sick but funny.

A commercial that bothers me is the new Scion commercial telling the story of the demonic deviants who behead the sheep people and play kick ball with their heads. The little demons terrorizing the city are the heroes of the commercial and the sheep-people victims apparently deserve to die because, well, they are sheep.

That commercial was disturbing. But then, I do not watch a lot of television. Usually do things like read, bike, play trumpet ect. Keeps me from getting sick with what is on the TV these days. It is nothing but hard core corporate pornography.

the joke is on scion owners, theyre a different kind of sheep; the deluded one that thinks it's different by buying things.

I thought it was funny. The worker is eating sour skittles, thereby sabotaging the product which is produced through his slave labor, thereby depriving his capitalist employer of profit. When confronted by the employer, he doesn't give a shit. While tasteless, I found it revolutionary and quite liberating.

Ugh, that "Little Deviants" ad campaign. Viral marketing, more like plague marketing. They're tapping into sticker and poster culture and it cheeses me off. I've been seeing those ugly stickers and fake "Lost Sheep" fliers all over, then saw an ad before a film, then was braced by a shill who was giving out black cherry ice cream on the street with info on the product. And I can't stand black cherry ice cream.

@5,

Recent? That episode was from L&O's first or second season. That's pretty sad if he's getting a job about once every 15 years.

He was on a more recent episode (2004) of L&O playing the same character and he was in a couple things last year. He looks hasn't been in much lately because he looks like he has cancer. He must really needed the money to do the Skittles ad.
