Jeff, you asshole! Why'd you spoil the ending? RAR RAR RAR!!!
Haw.
I'm sorry, who's a childish adult?
"Death of Harry Potter," my ass! The readers wouldn't let Arthur Conan Doyle kill off Sherlock Holmes, who was every bit the worldwide literary cult figure Harry Potter is. So there will be more Harry and more Harry spinoffs, stupid copyright laws notwithstanding.
Nothing in "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" precludes this. And yes, I have read it (it's on BitTorrent, after all), and no, I'm not spilling any beans, so eat your hearts out.
Hagrid we find out is Gay! The Weasley twins are actually clones, and there is a co-ed bathroom on the 3rd floor that only allows transexuals. Read it and find out!
The drop shadow on "Harry Potter" on the books jacket is killing ME. Why people, why?
I really can't comprehend the vitriol that comes from people on this issue. Why is it such a big deal if people want to dress up and have some fun with something they love?
If some trendy bar was throwing a costume party, many of you hipsters would be there with bells on. But god forbid, we get excited over a book! And a CHILDREN'S Book at that! Oh, the horror! We may not be as cool as you!
Dianna, it's people who wear glasses we hate.
Is it really necessary to be so anti-Harry Potter and against adults who enjoy the stories ("childish adults"). I mean, come on. There's a place for attending avant garde exhibitions, mosh pits, foreign films, and raves. There's also a place for reading Harry Potter, too.
Repeat after me: It's only a book, he's only a fictional character in a book.
Harry does not die. Duh. Gawl!
Oops. Too much to drink at lunch again. LOLZ!!1!one
Oh, Fnarf, well that's ok then.
(Though I really have a thing for guys who wear glasses...I find the nerdy accountant on Ugly Betty to be hot; so you can't trust me.)
Fremont Place Books should be a good location - it even has a giant Dragon puppet they got loaned to them by the Fremont Arts Council.
That's where I'm buying a copy.
it is a fact that people who wear glasses are sexier.
Fucking foureyes. Fall down stairs and die.
Oh, wait, I wear glasses too. Never mind.
Harry Potter in the FOR GOD'S SAKE ISN'T HE DEAD YET and the magic rock.
I think it's a little funny that the phrase "childish adults" is coming from a books intern who from what I can tell, only reads comic books.
Much of my desire to read "print" books was lost in the endless hours cramming literature as an English major. Alas, now I just like to look at pretty drawings, sippng on a capri sun and listening to my Raffi tapes.
@17 - LOL, p0wned!
"...so the choice is yours where you want to spend Friday night wearing a pointy hat and holding a wand."
Sounds like a night at The Pony.
Yeah the "holding a wand" quip makes me want to go to the bath-house, hmmm. But I have to have that Potter book ASAP before anyone spoils it for me.
Got 15 minutes to go and time is going sooo slow.
Who dies? Please let us know. People who don't really care, care a little.
Sadly, i've to say that HP dies in book7.... the end of a fiction, so that no one ever dares to start writing further series......

Who decides which books get press (Harry Potter) and which get censored? After all, censorship is becoming America's favorite past-time. The US gov't (and their corporate friends), already detain protesters, ban books like "America Deceived" from Amazon and Wikipedia, shut down Imus and fire 21-year tenured, BYU physics professor Steven Jones because he proved explosives, thermite in particular, took down the WTC buildings. Free Speech forever (especially for books).
Last link (before Google Books caves to pressure and drops the title):
America Deceived (book)
