The Critic’s Pick Right Now on Artforum.com

posted by on July 18 at 15:20 PM

It’s Identity Theft: Eleanor Antin, Lynn Hershman, Suzy Lake 1972-1978 at the Santa Monica Museum of Art—LA-based NYT writer Jori Finkel’s curatorial debut.

Holly Myers of the LAT liked it, too.

Congratulations, Jori.

(I’m going to see the show in two weeks; Finkel is an old friend and mentor of mine.)

So if I choose eggs over waffles for breakfast 70% of the time, and I choose soup over salad 60% with dinner of the time, then Darcy's people would conclude that I like eggs more than soup?

Maybe I get eggs because I hate waffles so much, and I'd order soup for breakfast if only somebody would put it on the menu.

One thing I'm sure of: I'd like to see a stronger candidate than the Darcy Burner we had last go around.
