Slog: News & Arts

I love this administration's Goebbels-esque appreciation of the arts. Following the disastrous foray into Arabic TV stations, this is guaranteed to backfire and end up funding something satirical or outright anti-American but over-the-head of the chimp who'll be willing to be in charge of the purse strings. Again, $400 Edwards haircuts are controversial, but not this waste of taxpayer money.

I think we should, in the interest of international brotherhood and solidarity, send the Fremont Lenin statue on a worldwide tour. It should have a personal amanuensis that follows it everywhere (me! me!), photographing it in its environment. Sort of a Big American version of the lawn gnome in that classic cheese-eating film, Amélie.

I've been meaning to ask - why is KUOW listed under "Enemies of SLOG"?

I wonder if Savage can find a way to get some of this money?

Been meaning to ask - what was the reason for KUOW ending up on the "Enemies of SLOG" list?

the downtown seattle chamber of commerce had a very similar idea--it's called Pigs on Parade.
