Jack Black playing Green Lantern was good news to you?
Please stop trying to be nerdy on the Slog, you guys.
Just...please.
Had such a crush on Van Williams. Of course, he showed more skin in "Surfside 6."
With Seth Rogen as The Green Hornet the obvious choice to play Kato is Paul Rudd.
Knocked Up kinda sucked if you ask me.
Will Green Hornet become afraid of women in this film adaptation?
Will he and Kato fight a band of sex hungry viragos obsessed with changing the lives of hapless, good natured man-boys?
With a schlub as the Green Hornet, that only suggests one thing to me: This movie is going to include some racial comeuppance. In the original show, Green Hornet tended to let Kato do all the heavy lifting and physical heroics. Casting a lazy-looking white man suggests to me they're gonna play that angle up for laughs, which could be effin' hi-larious.
Now who they're casting for Kato? There's lots of physically impressive young asian cats out there who could pull it off. He doesn't have to be a cheap Bruce Lee knockoff. Kato was supposed to be Japanese, right? Maybe an actual japanese actor with some aikido, judo, and karate skills could do the trick. I really favor going with an unknown for the part.
Knowing Hollywood, though, they'll probably try to get Jet Li. Sigh.

The best thing about this post is the headline. Kudos, JSL!
Um.
I care much more about who's Kato.
First choice for Kato is Kato Kaelin, second choice would be Ziyi Zhang (she kicks serious ass), third choice is Jet Li.
Kato = B. D. Wong
I think Paul Rudd would make a brilliant Kato. Their chemistry together makes me laugh bones hurt.
It won't be Jet Li. But Ziyi Zhang sounds like an awesome idea.
I've already seen this episode of Entourage!
Who played Kato in the TV series? Wasn't it Bruce Lee? Or did my brother tell me that for no reason.
It was Bruce, indeed.
