I don't get 'Persona'. I know it's groundbreaking and all, but it pretty much just annoys and bores me. But the rest of Bergman's films, wow, wow, wow. Hard to mourn someone when they've lived so long, and so right, and had a retirement as long as John Keats' whole life.

And isn't it 'Personae'?

when in college i went to s double bill ( ..remember back in the day when theaters would program 'double bills' ? two movies for the price of one. like jaws and slaughterhouse five ) we saw cries and whispers paired with mel brooks' 'the twelve chairs ' problem was, we saw twelve chairs first and didn't fully recover for cries and whispers. by the time we got to the scene where one of the women was putting broken glass in her vagina..people started leaving the theater in droves.. maybe that's one of the reasons they don't have double bills anymore
